Russian Putin and French Macron call for a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh


MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Frenchman Emmanuel Macron have called for an immediate ceasefire in the conflict between Azerbaijan and ethnic Armenian forces around the Nagorno-Karabakh region following a ‘a call, the Kremlin said Thursday.

The parties discussed future steps the OSCE group in Minsk could take to defuse the conflict in the region and called for the conflict to be resolved through diplomatic means, the statement said.
