Rush Limbaugh Says His Lung Cancer Is Terminal

“The scans showed progression of the cancer,” he told listeners to his radio show. He later added: “It’s not dramatic, but it’s the wrong direction. “The 69-year-old was diagnosed with lung cancer in February.

Limbaugh said his doctors changed his medications in “hopes of keeping further progression at bay for as long as possible.” Ahead of this week’s update, he said the cancer “has been reduced and is now manageable”.

“It’s hard to realize that the days when I don’t think I am on death row are over,” Limbaugh said. “Now we all are, that’s the point. We all know that we are going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal illness diagnosis that has a lapse of time, then it puts a different psychological and even physical awareness of that. ”

Limbaugh has hosted “The Rush Limbaugh Show” in nationwide syndication for over 30 years. He is an icon of the Republican Party and a close ally of President Trump. Trump appeared on his show two weeks ago instead of the second canceled presidential debate.

He renewed his contacts with the syndication company Premiere Radio Networks at the beginning of January. Specific terms have not been published.
