Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will meet for the first time in the group stage of the Champions League as Juventus and Barcelona were reunited in Group G.

The draw also means that Sergino Dest, who was announced as Barca player on Thursday, will face his USMNT international teammate Weston McKennie.

Bayern Munich will face Atletico Madrid while Manchester United were drawn in the same group as Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, who met in the semi-finals last season.

Before the draw started, former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba took home the UEFA President’s Award, while Bayern’s Manuel Neuer was named men’s goalkeeper of the year and Lyon’s Sarah Bouhaddi was named won the female honor.

Lyonnaise Wendie Renard was named female defender of the year with teammate Dzsenifer Marozsan the best midfielder, while Joshua Kimmich of Bayern was the No.1 male defender and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne named best midfielder.

Bayern pulled off a clean sweep when Robert Lewandowski took home the award for best male striker, while Chelsea new signing Pernille Harder, who became women’s football’s most expensive footballer when she joined Wolfsburg this summer, was named the best female striker.
