Live Around The World, c’est Queen’s 10e UK number 1 album, and the first in almost 25 years since Made in Heaven in November 1995, the group’s last studio album featuring Freddie Mercury’s last recorded vocals. It also marks nearly 45 years since the group’s very first number 1 album A Night at the Opera in December 1975.
In terms of chart-topping albums, Queen now sits at the double-digit level of Eminem, Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and U2 with 10 number 1s each, surpassing ABBA and Bob Dylan who have seen nine. See the acts with the most number 1 albums.
In the process, Adam Lambert lands his very first British number 1; his previous career high was number 8 recorded by The Original High in 2015.

South Korean girl group Blackpink enters at number 2 this week with their Korean debut album titled The Album. Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose also had the best-selling cassette album of the week, moving an impressive 5,700 copies onto the format.
Oasis’ (What’s the story) Morning Glory? Re-enters the official Top 40 albums this week at number 3. The fifth best-selling album of all time is back in the Top 10 after its 25e Anniversary vinyl reissue, which tops this week’s official vinyl album chart.

Four more new entries enter this week’s Top 10. Bon Jovi claims their 16e UK Top 5 album with 2020 at 5, Melanie C landed her first Top 10 in 17 years with her eighth eponymous studio album at age 8, Roger Waters’ live album Us + Them between at age 9 and Savage Mode II by rapper Atlantan and producer pair 21 Savage & Metro Boomin arrive at 10.

In this week’s Top 30, indie pop group LA LANY with third album Mama’s Boy (21), Lana Del Rey with debut spoken word album Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass (25) and rock band from Yorkshire Working Men’s Club with their own. titled debut (26) – the best-selling album in independent record stores this week.
