Here’s one of the things we’ve been waiting for: Sony today shared a new video that details everything there is to know about the upcoming PlayStation 5 console. It’s the teardown video we’ve been hearing about for years. month now, detailing the ports on the front and back of the system, how the PS5 bracket will secure the hardware vertically, and how easy it is to remove the faceplates on either side. Watch the video for yourself above. The video describes the ports you’ll have access to, including a USB Type-A port and a USB Type-C port on the front of the console. The mount will be attached to the PS5 via a screw if placed vertically, but there will be a compartment to tuck it in if you wish to place it horizontally. Meanwhile, the PS5 faceplates seem to be incredibly easy to remove and put back on the system. There is a definite potential for personalization here.
Yasuhiro Ootori then took the entire PS5 system apart, making sure to touch the cooling fan, Ultra HD Blu-ray drive, GPU, SSD, and heat sink. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
