Phil Vickery has reportedly exchanged flirtatious messages online with a shepherdess after his marriage to Fern Britton ended.

The TV chief, 59, who split from Fern, 63, in January after 20 years of marriage, exchanged a series of messages with Alison O’Neill, a sheep farmer from the Yorkshire Dales.

According to The Sun, Phil and Alison, 56, a divorced mother-of-one, first met while filming a segment for ITV’s This Morning.

Alison has regularly filmed cooking slots in the studio and at her home, while they also filmed segments about lambing at her 35-acre farm.

A source told the publication, “Phil and Alison have become good friends. They have very natural chemistry. A few people chatted.

The couple often comment on each other’s tweets, and in February Phil retweeted Alison’s Valentine-themed messages.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Phil for comment.

Last month, Fern shared a cryptic article about being “used” and “betrayed” eight months after announcing her separation from husband Phil.

The TV personality retweeted a cryptic social media post about “betrayal, scrambling and use” and said the words “fit so perfectly.”

It read: “In life, you will argue with people you never imagined. Be betrayed by people you trust with all your heart.

And get used to people you would do anything for. But life also has a bright side.

“You will be loved by someone you never thought you had. Form friendships with people who will build more meaningful and solid relationships. And overcome things you never thought you would overcome.

“We all have chapters that end with people at some point in life. But take pride in knowing that the best part of your book is being written.

Fern then added, “Whoever wrote this KNOWS! Xx. ‘

In June, Fern opened up about her failed marriage to Phil on ITV’s Lorraine, saying, “Sadly, we fell apart! “

The TV personality explained that she was trying to finish her book while everything was going on in her personal life and confessed that she “needed the rest” which was imposed on her by the lockdown.

Fern explained, “Unfortunately Phil and I broke up. And I had this book to write this book and get it out on the deadline.

“And after all of that was done, the lockdown happened and it’s like three months of – I needed that rest, you know?

Fern and Phil share their daughter Winnie, 18, while the Ready Steady Cook host also has twins Harry and Jack, 26, and Grace, 23, with her former husband Clive Jones.

She said: “We broke up earlier this year and luckily everything is going well. We just got to the end of the road, you know, which is sad.

“So I have adjusted to life as well as myself, and my two daughters are here because they got stuck, luckily for me.

“This is the time for me to really adjust my existence, which on the one hand is really, really exciting, but you also have to process it for a while. “

The couple married 20 years ago in 2000, after Fern split from former husband Clive Jones the same year after a 12-year marriage.

The couple met this morning when Fern hosted the show alongside Phillip Schofield – who now hosts with Holly Willoughby – and the star previously said she never thought she would find love again in as a mother of three children.
