Our writers respond – The Athletic

Antonio Brown finally has a new squad. A year after we last saw the first team’s quadruple All-Pro failure on the field, Brown agreed to a one-year contract with Tampa Bay on Friday. The deal reunites him with quarterback Tom Brady, with whom Brown played a game for New England last season.

Brown, 32, remains under NFL investigation after former coach accuses him of sexual assault, but is expected to be able to play for the Buccaneers from their game of week 9 with New Orleans. The last time Brown played near a full season, he caught a league-high 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns in 15 games for Pittsburgh in 2018.

We brought together the NFL editors from Athletic to weigh in on the deal.
