Netflix rounded up some of Hollywood’s biggest stars for a sci-fi comedy film Don’t look up.
X Men and Hunger games Actress Jennifer Lawrence, who was previously scheduled to star in the film, will be joined by fellow Oscar winners Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Leonardo Dicaprio.
Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Ariana Grande, Timothée Chalamet and Kid Cudi were also chosen, alongside friends star Matthew Perry and former EastEnders actor Himesh Patel.
Anchorman Writer and producer Adam McKay is the originator of the script, and he will also direct and co-produce the film with AnchormanIt’s Kevin Messick.
The film follows a pair of astronauts trying to warn humanity that an asteroid is rushing to planet Earth and they only have six months left.
Netflix was recently rocked by Hollywood A-listers for new ventures including Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, and Adam Sandler, but with Don’t look upWith the star power behind it, this film could end up being one of the streaming service’s biggest projects.

One thing to consider is that with some cinemas still closed and many only opening at reduced capacity, it’s not easy to predict where things will be in a year or so, so take more projects like Netflix and Amazon. Prime might end up being a lot more common in the future.
When Don’t look up was first announced in February, McKay spoke of his excitement about having Jennifer Lawrence on board.
“I’m so thrilled to be making this movie with Jen Lawrence. This is what people in the 17th century called a “dynamite talent”, “he says.
“And the fact that Netflix views this film as a global comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way. “
