Grealish makes surprise admission to Liverpool
Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has admitted he didn’t expect to play in Liverpool’s 7-2 demolition last weekend due to a hamstring injury.
The midfielder struck twice in the shocking victory at Villa Park, but only after passing a late fitness test to be included in Dean Smith’s starting XI.
“It was actually strange,” Grealish told the Guardian . “I took a fitness test on the day of the Liverpool game (last Sunday).
“I hadn’t even trained for the previous two days because my hamstrings hurt. I didn’t expect to play like I did.
“(That) doesn’t happen often in your footballing life, it was crazy. “
Beane in talks about investing in FSG

Oxlade-Chamberlain unhappy with FIFA rating
Liverpool players discovered their rating on FIFA 21 after the full game was released. And some are less happy than others.
Full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson revealed the ratings to the team in a video posted to the club’s official Twitter account.
Virgil van Dijk was delighted with his rating of 90, the highest of any defender, while Jordan Henderson went from an 83 to 86, although he wondered why he was an 83 to start.
Alexander-Arnold and Robertson both came out at 87, with the former ranking higher in assists and the latter in defense, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was the most upset.
Liverpool FC highlights
“I think I’m the only man to come down to the team,” he said after receiving his 79 rating. “Fourth top scorer in midfield – dejected. My pace has dropped every year – it just doesn’t make sense. I am the lowest rated man in this building. ”
Then, holding his FIFA card, he said, “Where’s the trash? “
