Less than one percent of COVID tests are positive

New York’s coronavirus positivity rate fell below 1% for the first time since September 24 last Saturday.More than 118,000 COVID-19 tests were reported to the state yesterday, and more than 11,000 returned positive.

The state’s positivity rate is now 0.96%. This includes the state’s “red zone” areas for COVID cases.

In these red areas, the positivity rates are 5.74%.

The total number of hospitalizations is 820, and there have also been five deaths from COVID.

The governor also reported that 12 million COVID-19 tests had been performed since the start of the pandemic.
