The popular MTV reality TV series Laguna Beach came to an end after three seasons in November 2006.

And almost 14 years later, Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and the rest of their Laguna Beach co-stars reunited via Zoom to reflect on their experiences on the show.

Laguna Beach, which was established in 2004, followed the life of a select group of students attending Laguna Beach High School.

Specifically, Friday’s reunion included Conrad, Cavallari, and the original season one cast: Stephen Colletti, Trey Phillips, Dieter Schmitz, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Morgan Smith and Christina Sinclair.

The old classmates orchestrated the rally from a distance in partnership with #GoodToVote and the non-profit organization HeadCount in hopes of encouraging viewers to register and vote in the upcoming election.

“I feel like the last time we could all have been in the same room was when we went to the VMAs once,” recalls Stephen Colletti, who came out with Kristin Cavallari in the series about teenagers.

‘MTV was like’ Here we’re going to kick off this show and here’s 45 minutes of media training. Go have fun and this show will air on MTV. Good luck! “

Not So Real: Despite MTV's emphasis on the `` reality '' element of Laguna Beach, Cavallari admitted the cast had to do `` a lot of pickup scenes '' down the line, which meant that many scenes were `` definitely out of order ''

During the 30-minute reunion, the cast of Laguna Beach resurrected old memories and how the series paved the way for future reality TV shows.

“It was the coolest part of our experience – reality TV wasn’t really a thing until Laguna Beach,” Christina Sinclair explained.

In retrospect, we would all have been very different if we had been exposed to reality TV like we have now. In a way, I feel like this is what made Laguna Beach so iconic. We really walked in without any expectations, having no idea what we were doing.

While they made a lot of memories filming the show as a teenager, the entire cast admitted that they never saw the show again as adults.

“I saw minutes of it, but never saw it all again,” said Cavallari, 33, who went on to star in the series spin-off The Hills and his own show Very Cavallari in 2018.
