AVictoria’s Ustralia state, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the country, will see some of its multi-month restrictions eased from Monday, but retailers and restaurants must wait longer, said Sunday the Prime Minister of the State. After more than 100 days in a strict lockdown, the five million people living in Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, will be able to spend as much time outdoors as they want, but must stay within 25 kilometers (15 miles) from their homes, Premier Daniel Andrews said.

Public gatherings will remain very limited and retailers and restaurants must only operate on take-out or delivery orders, with the state government considering their reopening by November 1, Mr Andrews said.
