Jimmy Kimmel shares heartbreaking video to deliver important healthcare message ahead of US election

Jimmy Kimmel shared a very important message on his Thursday show.The host spoke about healthcare, specifically mentioning people born with pre-existing conditions, explaining that the protection of people under the Affordable Care Act may be threatened by members of the Republican Party.

Urging viewers to vote for the right people in the next US presidential election, Kimmel said, “The vast majority of this country agrees that health insurance should cover Americans with pre-existing conditions.

“But the Republican Party – and that includes the President and members of Congress – the only plan they have is to remove protections for pre-existing conditions. ”

Kimmel then revealed how his now 3-year-old son Billy was born with a pre-existing condition and that his wife Molly made a special video to highlight how important it is to vote.

Explaining how millions of people would be affected otherwise, the host said, “My wife Molly made a video that deals with our experience with pre-existing conditions, and we would love you to watch it and pass it on to anyone who has forgotten this this. election really concerns.

The moving video included numerous clips and photos of tiny Billy, born with congenital heart defects, in the hospital.

Billy has already had three heart surgeries and over 60 doctor’s appointments in three years.

“Before Obamacare, health insurance companies could deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions,” the video reads. “Families go bankrupt trying to keep loved ones alive.

“People are dying because they cannot afford to live.”
