Jamie Lynn Spears reinvents Zoey 101 theme song


Jamie Lynn Spears has announced that his single, “Follow Me (Zoey 101)”, will debut on October 22, with a worldwide live event called “See It First: The Follow Me (Zoey 101) Experience” which will be released on October 25. October.The new single, available through Republic Records and produced by record producer and DJ Chantel Jeffries, reimagines the original theme song “Zoey 101”, which was co-written by her older sister Britney Spears. The iconic 2000s show “Zoey 101” starred Jamie Lynn as Zoey Brooks, as she and her brother Dustin sailed to the Pacific Coast Academy, a private boarding school welcoming girls for the first time.

The live-action pop culture event will feature Jamie Lynn bringing together the original cast of the Primetime Emmy nominated Nickelodeon show, along with Jeffries, dancer JoJo Siwa, TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio, and more.

In anticipation of the single’s release, Jamie Lynn spoke to Nylon magazine about the song. The release from the track follows news of a reboot of “Zoey 101”, whose production is delayed due to coronavirus restrictions, and a recent cast meeting for a sketch of “All That”.

“Obviously we want to meet her as an adult now, and I think it should be a young adult show,” she told Nylon. “We want to do justice to the fans who were 10 and 12 when it first aired, while also attracting the new generation of fans. Finding that balance will be really important because we want to connect with where people are today… ”What’s that story? What’s the best way to meet Zoey today? We don’t just want to do it to do it. We want it to be good.

Spears’ upcoming plans also include an appearance in the second season of Netflix’s “Sweet Magnolias”.
