Mason Mount was picked before Grealish and Neville, who was on duty for Sky Sports, explained an issue the Villa star has with his national team.

The former Manchester United and England defender said: “It’s a bit of a problem for Jack Grealish because he is sticking to 4-3-3, because the two in midfield, I don’t think he would be one of those two against the big teams.

“I think if you look at the top three you have Sancho, Rashford, Sterling, Kane, Calvert-Lewin and more – where would it go? It’s a problem for Jack Grealish because he’s talented, he deserves his place on the team, he was fantastic the other night.
