On Tuesday, October 13, Apple is hosting awhere we expect to get a first glimpse of . Although there has been about the new phone , and , one of the most interesting potential features we’ve heard about is – twice that of the iPhone 11. The number of hertz that a phone screen is capable of displaying refers to the number of frames per second, determining the speed and smoothness of the phone screen when you Scroll through apps and web pages and the games supported fluidity feel.
They say there will belaunched Tuesday: the (5.4 inch), iPhone 12 and 12 Pro (6.1 inch), and iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inch). Some reports state that the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the base iPhone 12 will have a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Most phones – including the iPhone 11 – have a 60Hz refresh rate. But some high-end models, including theand the , have a frequency of 120 Hz, so it’s no surprise that Apple is adding this to its repertoire.
The iPhone 12 Pro models would also have the Apple-exclusive ProMotion display, which you can find in the iPad Pro models. This technology dynamically adjusts the display to the way content moves for more responsive and smooth scrolling.
