Former Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested Saturday in Oregon on charges of attempting to strangle his girlfriend, according to reports.
Police from Eugene, Oregon, attended Bryan’s residence on Friday night following a neighbor’s report of “physical conflict.” Bryan, 39, was found outside an apartment while his girlfriend, 27, was in a nearby apartment, according to E News.
He was held in Lane County Jail and faces charges such as “strangulation, fourth degree assault and interference with writing a report,” police said, according to OregonLive.com.

Bryan allegedly “assaulted the victim, interfered with his breathing and [took] the victim’s phone when she tried to call 911, ”police told E News.
Bryan played Brad Taylor, the eldest son of Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, the character played by Tim Allen on the popular sitcom, which ran from 1991-1999. Bryan has acted intermittently since then, including a role in “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” in 2006. He also works as a producer.
