According to The Athletic, the likes of Bruno Fernandes were furious at halftime, as feuds erupted between many other players on the squad.
The team were also reportedly furious with Spurs midfielder Erik Lamela for the role the Argentina played in securing a Martial red card.
Lamela appeared to have a delayed reaction going to the ground when Martial raised his hands to his face, and after watching a replay of the incident United players were supposed to be glowing with rage.
Fernandes, meanwhile, was replaced with Nemanja Matic at half-time and was reportedly not at all happy with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision.
The United boss did not have time to debrief the game with his side, with the majority of them leaving on international duty the day after the game at Old Trafford.
There is now enormous pressure on them to deliver when they face Newcastle on October 17, and there is a growing sense that another bad loss could see Solskjaer give his marching orders.
It remains to be seen if any of their new deadline signings will make their debut, but Edinson Cavani will certainly not be one of them, with the Uruguay striker set to self-isolate for two weeks after arriving in the UK. .
Things don’t get any easier after Newcastle, with United traveling to French champion Paris Saint Germain for a Champions League group stage match on October 20, followed by a Premier League clash against Chelsea on the following Saturday.
