French Macron: support for Cyprus, Greece but ready to speak to Turkey

PARIS (Reuters) – French President Emmanuel Macron said the latest European Union summit reaffirmed the EU’s support for Cyprus and Greece, while reaffirming its willingness to speak with Turkey, regarding the territory disputed maritime in the Mediterranean.

Macron also added on Friday that the EU remains keen to secure a ceasefire as soon as possible in the clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

European Union leaders regret Turkey’s decision to send a natural gas exploration vessel to disputed Mediterranean waters, the bloc’s president said on Friday, recalling that the EU would examine its options in December .
