France announces new record of more than 50,000 new coronavirus infections in one day

PARIS (Reuters) – France has registered 52,010 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, after a record 45,422 on Saturday, the health ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

He also said 116 people had died from coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, up from 137 on Saturday.
