Premier Doug Ford said yesterday that the modeling will show the number of new daily infections going “in the right direction”.
The figures are expected to be released this afternoon at a press conference attended by several health officials, including the province’s senior public health doctor.
Previous projections, released late last month, showed the province was registering 1,000 new cases per day by mid-October.
Ontario exceeded that threshold last weekend, but the numbers have since declined.
The province yesterday recorded 834 new infections and five new deaths linked to the new coronavirus.
