DuckThe BS legal team is calling BS for injuries a man claims he suffered in a beating, because as they said … the guy wasn’t too depressed or hurt to show up in a reality TV-show. As you may remember, Bennett Sipes claimed to have suffered a concussion, back injury, physical injuries and depression after a fight in March 2018 at Delilah nightclub with Drake, Odell Beckham and others. Sipes filed a lawsuit for the fight, but Drake’s attorneys have filed documents pointing out that Sipes not only appeared on “Love Island” recently … they also claim he attended music festivals and did backflips on swings while on vacation in Mexico. As they say in the documentation, obtained by TMZ, Sipes “seemed anything but depressed”.
Legal documents include a statement from Sipes’ ex-GF, Ray Summer Beaty, saying he started working with her after the fight. She says he carried his photographic equipment without difficulty. She also claims Sipes appeared to be doing well after her visible wounds healed – and they traveled together to Mexico, Maryland, Colorado, England, France, Italy and Japan. She claims they also attended the Coachella, Stagecoach and Rolling Loud festival. Drake’s team also said that Sipes deleted a bunch of text messages with Beaty… which they said was a big no-no while the trial was ongoing. They suspect the posts could have shed light on Sipes’ alleged injuries or the incident itself. TMZ broke history… Sipes sued Drake, OBJ and Kourtney Kardashianex, Younes Bendjima, back in January 2019 claiming Younes attacked him as well as members of the entourage of Drake and OBJ. Sipes’ ex said in his statement that Drake and OBJ were standing at the back of the group and “seemed to just watch what was going on and follow the group out of curiosity.” None of them seemed to be teaching others or encouraging others to do anything at all. “
Sipes had alleged that Drake made a “throaty” gesture and that’s what prompted his team to beat Sipes into a dough. But, Sipes’ ex contradicts that… claiming that she didn’t see any ‘throaty’ gesture “and that I didn’t see Drake cheering on anything.” Drake’s team asks a judge to dismiss Sipes’ trial.
