Douglas Lima looks back on his loss to Gegard Mousasi

Douglas Lima swears he didn’t finish in the middleweight division after failing the title Thursday at the Bellator 250.Defending Bellator welterweight champion Lima (32-8 MMA, 14-4 BMMA) failed in his quest to become a two-time defending champion when he gave up a unanimous decision to Gegard Mousasi (47-7- 2 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) for the vacant bracelet at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

The inability to stop Mousasi from putting pressure on him, as well as his inability to stop teardowns at key moments, turned out to be big factors in Lima’s loss. He kept his spirits up after the fight, however, and said that while defending the 170-pound strap is in his immediate plans, he “hasn’t finished” at middleweight.
