Derby County dealt the final blow in transfer offer for Liverpool’s Harry Wilson – report

Derby County appears to have lost in its attempt to bring Harry Wilson back to Pride Park.Rams boss Phillip Cocu described the club’s chances of signing the Liverpool-loaned winger as “highly unlikely” on Thursday.

And Wilson, who spent a season on loan at Derby in 2018-19, has now reportedly made a deal to join Championship rivals Cardiff City on loan, according to The Athletic.

The Premier League champions are said to receive loan fees of over £ 1million for the Welsh international and Cardiff are said to cover all of his salaries.

Asked about the 23-year-old Welsh international, Cocu said: “First of all he’s a great player, fantastic left foot, can play on the wing or as a striker but I think it will be very complicated to get him in. the circumstances in which we find ourselves at the club now, I don’t think that will happen.

“It would be great if we had the luxury. Unfortunately, this is not the case and that is why it is highly unlikely at this point. Maybe things will change, and maybe it can be different, but at this time and in the situation, it is very unlikely. ”
