Rufus, 41, had more than a decade of fond memories with his wife Beth Johnson after the couple tied the knot in 2007.
The now separated couple also share two children.
The Celebrity Juice star took to Twitter on Friday night to break the news to her loyal fan base.
In a moving statement, Rufus revealed that he and Beth made the difficult decision to go their separate ways in April – at the height of the lockdown.

“In April, Beth and I made the sad decision to end our marriage,” he began.
“We will always have a lot of love and respect for each other.
“Even though we are apart, we will always be best friends.

“And, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
Rufus and Beth tied the knot just four months after they first met in 2007 at the Reading Festival.
The former lovebirds got married in the Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas.

The split comes just days after Rufus confirmed for the highly anticipated next series of Dancing On Ice.
Lifting the lid on his dancing skills, an insider told The Sun viewers can expect a hell of a show from the funny man.
The TV insider said, “Dancing On Ice is putting together one of their most eclectic lineups of all time and the bosses are thrilled to have Rufus on board.

“He won’t play it safe – on the show or on the ice. The next series will certainly not be light on entertainment. ”
Rufus has an array of comedies and stage appearances.
