COVID-19: Gatineau, MRC des Collines added to the “red zone” of Quebec; Ontario reports 809 new cases

There have now been 3,004 deaths in the province attributed to the virus.

According to the latest provincial data, there are now 936 active cases in Ottawa. One new death has been reported and 297 deaths have now been attributed to the coronavirus in Ottawa.

There have been 5,365 laboratory-confirmed cases, and 4,132 of them are resolved.

In Kingston, a boy under the age of 10 was among four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 who were infected in a close contact incident.

A fifth unrelated case was also reported.

Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Public Health said there were now 164 confirmed cases in the territory since March, of which 17 are still active.


For the sixth time in seven days, Quebec reported more than 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

There have been 1,097 new cases of COVID-19, as well as three new deaths linked to the pandemic.

Hospitalizations increased from 11 to 444, and six more people are in intensive care, for a total of 73.
Quebec has now reported a total of 85,191 cases and 5,950 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

In the Outaouais, 53 new cases have been reported, the highest total in one day since the 66 cases reported on Monday. The death toll in the region remains unchanged at 34.

The Outaouais regional health authority has confirmed that there has been an outbreak at the agency’s COVID-19 shelter for the homeless inside the Robert-Guertin arena. At least one customer has tested positive and there has been close contact with people at another site.
