Quebec reports 843 new cases, 12 more deaths

Quebec reported 843 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The cumulative total of confirmed cases in the province now stands at 86,976.

The province has also reported 12 new deaths: four in the past 24 hours and eight since last week. The death toll from COVID-19 in the province is now 5,965.

The number of hospitalizations increased by 20 to 457.

Plante urges Montrealers to avoid crowding popular parks

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante wished Montrealers a Happy Thanksgiving Monday, but reminded people to avoid cluttering the city’s popular parks.

“On this sunny Thanksgiving Monday, let’s do our part to flatten the curve,” Plante tweeted Monday morning.

“Let’s take care of ourselves and everyone else by choosing our local parks rather than crowded spaces like Mount Royal and limiting our social contact.
