Coronavirus exposure identified in Vancouver Alternative Schools program


Vancouver Coastal Health has identified a new risk of exposure to coronavirus in an alternative Vancouver school program for Indigenous students.Students in the Cedar Walk program at 1043 Kingsway could have been exposed to COVID-19 on September 14, 15, 17 and 21, according to the health authority.

The Cedar Walk program is run by the Urban Native Youth Association and works with youth ages 16 to 19 to graduate from high school. Students complete core curriculum work as part of the curriculum as well as recreational and cultural activities.

Contact tracers will notify people individually if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to VCH.
