She is believed to have died peacefully surrounded by her family at Sherman Oaks Hospital in California.
Conchata is best known for playing the role of housekeeper Berta in the hit CBS comedy series Two and a Half Men.
Now her co-star has paid her a tearful tribute after hearing the tragic news.
Speaking to Twitter, Jon, who played Alan Harper on the sitcom, wrote: “She was a beautiful human. Berta’s gruff exterior was an invention of the writers.
“Chatty’s warmth and vulnerability were his real strengths. I cry for the woman I will miss and the joy she has brought to so many people. ”
Reflecting on their days of filming the show, he continued, “I remember his first day on 2 1/2 Men. It was our second episode and I felt so lucky that they were able to cast her on the show. I told her how much of a fan I was and she just refused to believe it.
“I had to recount one of my favorite tracks from hers from a canceled mid-’70s sitcom called ‘Hot L Baltimore’ before she finally realized I was serious.

Jon gently gushed about her character, “I’m glad to know how lucky I was to share a scene with her. I cherished every moment and will continue until we meet again. I have a feeling she will call me. ‘Zippy’.
“If you’re that inclined, it would be a great day to check out his wonderful set of films.
“Edward Scissorhands, Erin Brockovich or some of his work at the time like Network and the Little Gem Seen Heartland with Rip Torn. “

He ended his heartfelt tribute by admitting that 2020 has been “ruthless”.
“My thoughts are with Arnie, Samantha, her family and the many students whose lives she has touched at UCLA. 2020 is ruthless. #RIPConchataFerrell, ”concluded Jon.
In July, it was reported that Conchata was fighting for her life after suffering a heart attack.
She had been having health problems since last year after suffering from a life-threatening kidney and blood infection.

According to TMZ, Conchata suffered cardiac arrest during a four-week stay in a hospital intensive care unit.
She was hospitalized in December and transferred to a long-term care facility during the summer.
Her husband, Arnie Anderson, said at the time, “It’s going to take a while before there is a recovery. Everything is neurological.
“There is nothing we can do to speed up the process. We hope for the best. “

She married her husband Arnie in 1986 and the couple share a daughter named Samantha, 38.
Conchata’s role in Two and a Half Men earned her two Emmy nominations in a comedy series in 2005 and 2007.
She also received an Emmy nomination in 1992 for her role as Susan Bloom in LA Law.
