The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers meet on Sunday in NFL Week 4 at Levi’s Stadium.

The Philadelphia Eagles need a win here to avoid a brutal winless record in the first four weeks. The Philadelphia Eagles have shared their last eight road games. Carson Wentz completed 59.8% of his passes for 737 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions. Wentz has had two or more touchdown passes in four of his last eight games. Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz combined for 268 receiving yards and two touchdowns while DeSean Jackson has 10 receptions. The Philadelphia Eagles’ rushing game is averaging 117.7 yards per game, and Miles Sanders leads the way with 190 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Philadelphia is allowing 29 points and 330.7 yards per game. Nathan Gerry leads the Philadelphia Eagles with 25 tackles, Brandon Graham has three sacks and Rodney McLeod has two pass deflections.

The San Francisco 49ers are looking for a third straight win to improve on a solid 3-1 this season. The San Francisco 49ers have shared their last six home games. Nick Mullens completes 70.2% of his passes for 414 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Mullens and Jimmy Garoppolo have combined for five touchdown passes and one interception this season. Kendrick Bourne and Raheem Mostert combined for 274 receiving yards and one touchdown while Brandon Aiyuk has seven receptions. The San Francisco 49ers’ rushing game is averaging 132.7 yards per game, and Robert Mostert leads the way with 148 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, San Francisco is allowing 15.3 points and 304 yards per game. Fred Warner leads the San Francisco 49ers with 28 tackles, Kerry Hyder Jr. has two sacks and Jaquiski Tartt has an interception.

The Eagles are 9-4 CEP in their last 13 games in October, 2-8-1 CEP in their last 11 games of Week 4 and 0-4 CEP in their last 4 games overall. The 49ers are 5-1 CÉP in their last 6 games as favorites, 6-13 CÉP in their last 19 games in October and 5-2 CÉP in their last 7 games overall. The Plus is 41-20 in the Eagles’ last 61 road games. The plus is 6-2 in 49ers’s last 8 home games. The Eagles are 4-1 CEP in their last 5 games in San Francisco and 6-2 CEP in their last 8 games. The most is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings.

The San Francisco 49ers remain the smashest team in the NFL and that includes Garoppolo who is always questionable. However, I don’t see how anyone can be keen to support the Eagles in their current form no matter how many points they get. The Eagles have looked lifeless on both sides of the ball for the most part and Wentz is going through one of the worst periods of his career. After how the Eagles blew up the game last week against the Bengals, I guess the last thing they want to do is take a flight across the country to play a well-trained 49ers team. I would love to see the 49ers recover some key players from injury, but I would support them in this place like a fade from the Eagles anyway.

I’ll take the 49ers by a touchdown.
