The Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins meet Sunday in NFL Week 4 from Hard Rock Stadium.
The Seahawks enter this one 3-0 so far. After knocking out Atlanta in Game 1, Seattle has since beaten the Patriots and Cowboys to an unbeaten start. As for the Dolphins, they fell in their first two games against the Patriots and Bills, but posted a fine 31-13 victory over the Jaguars last Thursday. In the win over Dallas, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson had 315 yards and five touchdowns. Chris Carson led the race with 14 carries for 64 yards, and DK Metcalf was the Seahawks’ leading receiver with four catches for 110 yards and a TD. Tyler Lockett had fewer yards (100) but had nine catches and three touchdowns.
On the Dolphins’ side, they hung out with the Patriots in Week 1 but ended up losing 21-11 at Gillette Stadium. Week 2 was even more frustrating against the Bills, resulting in a 31-28 loss and another division loss. Miami did finally get some traction in a 31-13 victory over the Jaguars last Thursday, however.
In that win over Jacksonville, Miami quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick racked up 160 yards and two touchdowns. Myles Gaskin led the race with 22 carries for 66 yards, and DaVante Parker was the primary receiver for the Dolphins with five catches for 69 yards.
The Seahawks are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games as favorites and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. Seattle is 10-4-1 CÉP in its last 15 turf games and 5-2 CÉP in its last seven games following a victory against CÉP.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins are 4-0 CEP in their last four turf games and 5-1 CEP in their last six home games. Miami is 4-1 CEP in its last five total games and 4-1 CEP against a team with a winning record.
To choose: I’m going to Dolphins, but it’s probably best to wait until later in the week on this one. The line will likely score a few more points, as there’s a lot of confidence in the Seahawks right now (and rightfully so). That said, Miami has been able to hang on to both the Patriots and the Bills, and I think it’s reasonable to think the Dolphins can hit a touchdown roughly in Seattle. I still love that the Seahawks win, but this one could be closer than a lot of people think.
