As underrated players, Olivier Giroud is up there.
The Chelsea striker continues to prove his critics wrong with sustained excellence in both the Premier League and the international game.
This was again the case on Wednesday evening.
Giroud scored his 41st and 42nd goals for France after doubling his team’s lead in their friendly against Ukraine – and the first was special.
After a superb run and a pass from Raphael Varane, Giroud intercepted his left foot to beautifully loop the ball from outside the box.
His second was less glamorous – a simple header after a goalie error.
Incredibly, this puts the striker in second place on the list of France’s top scorers of ALL TIME after passing Michel Platini.

Only Henry has more goals (51) than Giroud for France
Giroud must now score nine more times for his nation to equalize the record – a record currently held by none other than Thierry Henry.
Arsenal icon hit 51 time for his country, but he’ll no doubt be wary of another former Gunners star blowing his neck.
That sums up a pretty perfect evening for the 34-year-old, who was presented with the armband on his 100th appearance for France.
Jason Cundy says he would choose Heung-min Son over Mohamed Salah and thinks Tottenham could have Premier League’s best first
