As cases of COVID-19 continue to rise around the world, Canada Soccer has canceled all national team activities during the November international windows for its national men’s and women’s teams.Neither the men’s nor the women’s team had any matches on the schedule, but both had seen recent plans postponed or canceled. World Cup qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar were initially scheduled to start this fall, but Concacaf have postponed the start of qualifying until March of next year. The women’s national team was originally scheduled for a training camp in England this month, but canceled it weeks before its scheduled start.
Neither team has played since the winter, the women’s team more recently than the men. The women’s team faced Brazil in March, while the men’s team last played in a 1-0 loss to Iceland in January.
