BRITAIN’S Got Talent’s Christmas special was drastically stopped this morning – after a Covid outbreak on set.

At least three crew members tested positive for the disease before the first day of filming for the single show.

The panicked bosses then immediately shut down all production, despite the cameras being ready to roll.

The show’s crew, which will see the country’s favorite BGT artists return to the stage in festive extravagance, were told last night not to show up for work.

And production staff who have tested positive, and those who work closely with them, have been told that they must self-isolate according to government guidelines.

A source said: ‘This is the last thing the bosses of Britain’s Got Talent would have wanted on the first day of the new production.

“Everything was ready to go so they are emptied, it is immediately stopped. Everyone has been told to stay away and those involved must now self-isolate.

“They can’t take any chances, especially with some of the potentially vulnerable returning winners.”

A spokesperson for the show told The Sun: ‘Following a positive Covid-19 result received yesterday, we have implemented our protocols and a number of crew members are isolating themselves at home. .

“As a result, we are unable to continue filming our BGT Christmas special today and have made the decision to postpone.

“The safety of everyone involved in the show is our number one priority and we follow extensive Covid-19 related procedures to adhere to all government guidelines.”
