Brian May says he’s ‘thankful to be alive’ after stomach explosion

Brian May said he was “grateful to be alive” after a series of medical issues this year, including a heart attack, sciatica and a stomach explosion.

“I have had a wonderful, wonderful surgeon, and I am so grateful to be alive,” said May. Good Morning Britain. “I had three stents in me, which are working great, and I feel great.”

He said he had a stomach hemorrhage as a result of medications given to him by doctors after his heart attack.

“It was shocking,” he said. “That’s when I almost lost my life, not the heart attack, strangely enough… You have to be so careful with the meds they give you because it’s great for stents, this It’s good for the heart, but it’s not very good for the rest of your body and you can really get off. It’s a tightrope.

He continued, “The worst thing that happened was the bleeding in my stomach, and I lost a lot of blood at one time and I was just erased. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t cross the ground. It was the worst point for me. But I had a bit of a bad time overall – it sounds like really fun. A catalog of disasters. “

“I think it’s time to reexamine our world in a way that doesn’t abuse other species,” he said.
