Today, police said the fallen boy died soon after despite the efforts of rescuers at the scene.
His family have been notified although the boy has not yet been officially identified. Death is not suspected and a file has been sent to the coroner.
Hanover Street was closed last night in the presence of emergency services.
A police spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that a 15 year old boy from Liverpool died after falling from a Hanover Street car park in Liverpool city center last night (Saturday 3 October).
“Emergency services were called to a Hanover Street parking lot at 8:25 pm following reports that a man had fallen from the parking lot, but sadly, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. .
“Death is not suspected and a file has been sent to the coroner.
“The next of kin have been questioned and specialist officers are supporting the family during this tragic time. Formal identification has yet to take place. ”
