Bellator 249: “Cyborg vs. Blencowe” is scheduled to air tonight (Thursday, October 15, 2020) from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Featherweight champion Cris Cyborg (22-2, 1 NC) makes her first title defense in the promotion against “Angerfist” Arlene Blencowe (13-7).
The Bellator 249 main card will air on CBS Sports Network at 10 p.m. ET. MMAmania.com will provide results for the full map and one game per full game for the televised part of Bellator 249 below.

Cyborg is 22-2, 1 NC tonight. His opponent Blencowe is 13-7.
Ricky Trays against Leandro Higo
Higo came out first in black trunks and blue gloves, 19-5, and he came in three pounds at 139 for that fight. Bandejas made the official allowance of a pound and weighed 136. He wears the jersey and the red gloves and is heading to “Ready or Not” of the Fugees. His professional record to date is 13-4. Higo is fighting in Natal, Brazil. Bandejas is fighting in Coconut Creek, Florida. The responsible arbiter is Kevin MacDonald.
Round 1: A quick tap starts the action. Bandejas throws a kick and Higo walks away. Bandejas wraps his hands around and lets go another kick. The two men carefully sense the gap between them. Bandejas finally lands a kick for one minute. They exchange leg kicks. Higo pushes him towards the fence. Higo falls for a brace at 1:57 and has Bandejas on his butt. He crushes Bandejas in the cage, looking for a way to pass. Bandejas tries to back away from the danger, but Higo is on top of him throwing rights. Higo grapevines his leg and climbs in full mount at 4:04. It goes for the neck but lets it go. Bandejas tries to push back the fence with his feet but is unable to do so. Higo tries to get a late submission but Bandejas manages to get the bell. 10-9 Higo.
Round 2: Bandejas opens the second round with leg kicks. Higo continues to pile Bandejas towards the fence. Bandejas connects with a right hand and a left jab. Higo enters and takes Bandejas to transport him to the cage like a trophy before finally slamming him. He takes the back and tries to retract the hooks. At 2:12 he has the butterfly and is in full control. He fishes the neck and gets it at 2:32 for submission.
Final result: Leandro Higo via submission (bare back) at 2:32 of the second round.
Steve Mowry contre Shawn Teed
Shawn Teed (6-2-1) came out first with the black jersey and blue gloves on MOP’s “Ante Up” stumps. BROWNSVILLE! HOUSE OF THE BRAVE. Steve Mowry (7-0) walks in with the blue jersey and red gloves on POD’s “Alive” stumps. Both men are 28 years old. Mowry is 6’8 “with a reach of 79”, Teed is 6’5 “with a reach of 77”. Teed is fighting out of Toms River, NJ. Mowry is fighting outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The arbiter is Kerry Hatley.
Round 1: Type gloves between the big boys to start. Mowry tries to cram Teed early. He continues to back him up towards the fence and Teed tries to dive and shift to the left. Mowry stays with him and unloads with a knee. The left and right hooks also connect. Teed tries to load and unhook to no avail. 90 seconds elapsed. Mowry stalks his opponent and discharges with another knee. Teed eats a left hook as he tries to reload again. Teed lands a few left shots. Mowry kicks the legs. Mowry lands and knees in the middle. Teed is stuck in the fence. He leaves at 3:06 am Jab de Mowry. Right hand. Repeat right. Kick. Mowry dominates the offensive exit of this round. Teed savagely misses with a right hook and eats one back. A crushing knee in the middle drops Teed and Hatley leaves the fight seconds later.
Final result: Steve Mowry wins by technical knockout at 4:22 in the first round.
Saad Awad against Mandel Nallo
Awad is 37, 23-13, wears gray trunks and red gloves, fighting in San Bernardino, Calif. Nallo is 7-1 and 31, wearing the black jersey and blue gloves, fighting out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our referee is Kerry Hatley.
Round 1: Four seconds, they type gloves. Nallo immediately hits Awad in the knee. He continues to attack the same leg and shaves Awad’s head with a kick. Nallo drops him for a split second at 0:59 – Awad is immediately back and led into the fence. Nallo brings him back to the ground for a second at 1:31 and again Awad is back. Awad collapses from a left knee to his groin and Hatley calls time. Awad is taking so long to recover that CBS Sports Network went on a commercial break, and he still bent in pain in his knees coughing up a lung when we got back. Awad tries and fails to get back on his feet and Hatley signals to leave the fight.
Final result: NO COMPETITION due to an accidental blow to the groin at 1:41 of the first round.
