The same footage is available on Shutterstock by a user of the same name, whose profile is linked to Konstantin Mikidov’s Facebook page, which lists his location as the Russian city of Novosibirsk in Siberia. He did not respond to requests for comment sent through his Pond5 and Facebook accounts.
Two seconds later in the ad, an elderly woman is seen staring out of a window as the phrase “HIGHER TAXES ON MIDDLE CLASS RETIREMENT” appears on the screen. This footage, titled “Old Woman Looking Out the Stock Video Window,” retails for $ 60 on iStockphoto. Other terms used by pictures on this website are: “Belarus, elderly, depression – sadness, sadness, loneliness.”
The creator of this sequence is “Zdyma4”. A user with this name has a profile on the Dreamstime video footage website and indicates the name “Viachaslau Rutkouski”. Rutkouski has a LinkedIn profile which says he is a photographer in Belarus and also uses Zdyma4 as a pseudonym. He did not respond to a request for comment.
