It’s an incredible sight, which most football fans thought they would never see again.
Washington quarterback Alex Smith took his first photo since sustaining a horrific broken leg in 2018 that nearly cost him his life and his leg.
Smith had been inactive for the first four games of the season. With Dwayne Haskins on the bench and inactive, Smith was Kyle Allen’s replacement against the Rams. Allen suffered an arm injury and Smith is the next man.
Either way, the mere fact that Smith is back on the pitch is a huge story. Like Peter King said on Friday PFT and direct, he’ll vote for Smith as the Returning Player of the Year as Smith takes a photo.
He has it now.
