UK buyers are urged to check their refrigerators and cabinets after a series of product recalls this week. Last names such as Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Iceland and Waitrose have all issued food warnings.

Some are being recalled because the allergens are not listed correctly, while others could contain foreign objects – or even traces of Salmonella.

Customers are warned not to eat food items and to return them to the store where they were purchased.

All affected items have been removed from shelves and the Food Standards Agency (FSA) says that if an item is subject to a recall notice, you can return the product for an exchange or a refund.

And if shoppers choose to return products, they are advised to follow social distancing guidelines when visiting a supermarket or store.

Currently, there is no central database of every type of recalled product at all times – meaning consumers have to browse through several different agency websites for details – or hope that ” they access the site of a customer opinion in store.

To make it easier, here’s a roundup of the latest supermarket product recalls – from incorrect allergen labels to contaminated products. List correct at time of posting.
