As we move into the fourth quarter and the end of the year, the TSX continues to gain momentum. Right now, I was looking for the best stocks that will continue this momentum. I have found three top stocks to buy that are all on the cusp of significant growth. And while they are all still unable to generate income, this is also about to happen.Top stock Ballard Power Systems (TSX: BLDP) NASDAQ: BLDP) is one of the world’s leading suppliers of fuel cells. This business will thrive as the world shifts to zero emissions energy. Blackberry (TSX: BB) (NYSE: BB) is a quality player in cybersecurity and connected cars. This business will thrive as these industries experience rapid growth next year and into the future. Finally, top stock Lightspeed POS (TSX: LSPD) (NYSE: LSPD) will continue to ride the wave of a growing e-commerce industry.

Let’s take a closer look at these three main actions.

Ballard Power stock to rebound as fuel cells set for significant growth

Ballard Power Systems is one of the world’s leading providers of innovative clean energy and fuel cell solutions. Fuel cell vehicles are quickly becoming the electric vehicle of choice for trucks and buses. China, California and some countries in Europe are leading the way in this transformation. But the fuel cell market does not end there. Ballard is also making progress in the rail, maritime and automotive sectors.

Fuel cells will be an important part of vehicle electrification. An opportunity estimated at $ 130 billion will be seized by 2030, as vehicles switch to emissions-free engines. Based on that, Ballard estimates that it can generate $ 5 billion in revenue by 2030. This represents a compound annual growth rate of 49%.

Ballard Power’s share price continues to be one of the best performing on the TSX. The stock has climbed 168% in 2020 and 300% in the past three years. Ballard reports third quarter results on November 6.

BlackBerry stock to rise thanks to cybersecurity and growth of connected cars

BlackBerry is currently trading at minimum valuations, as it continues its transformation. The stock is trading just slightly above the book value and at a multiple of the ask price of 2.8 times. The cybersecurity industry is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15% through 2026. The global connected cars market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 25% from 2020 to 2025.

In this pandemic, the digitization of all facets of life has accelerated at the speed of light. And with that comes the need for security. This means that BlackBerry’s cybersecurity offering has significant growth ahead of it. The recent successes of BlackBerry’s cybersecurity offering have put it on solid footing. BlackBerry’s endpoint security systems and endpoint management systems are already seeing increasing demand and increased billing.

While self-driving cars are at least a decade away, cars are increasingly connected. And many of them are equipped with BlackBerry technology. BlackBerry QNX is at the forefront of transforming automobiles into connected systems today and autonomous vehicles tomorrow.

Lightspeed POS Inventory Grows With Rapidly Growing Ecommerce Business

Finally, Lightspeed POS’s stock is growing rapidly, which is fueled by the pandemic. But it’s a trend that was going to happen with or without the pandemic. Electronic commerce is a must in a digitizing economy. Businesses need to offer omnichannel online systems to consumers as well as or in lieu of physical locations.

The company has no profits, but its revenues are increasing at a rate of over 50%. This is one of the many e-commerce stocks that have outperformed this year.

Motley Fool: the bottom line

For Ballard Power, BlackBerry and Lightspeed stocks, the fourth quarter should continue to be rewarding. In addition, these companies are all on growth trajectories that will span decades. These best stocks will make you rich now and in the long run.
