Another race-rigger has been reported.

CV Vitolo-Haddad, a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, resigned his teaching post after admitting to lying about being black.

Vitolo-Haddad, who identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns “they” or “them,” has repeatedly claimed to be black or Latino when the graduate student was in fact from Italy.

CV Vitolo-Haddad has failed to correct people’s assumptions about racial identity, “entered black organizing spaces” and, on three occasions, failed to say no when others did. asked to be black.

Vitolo-Haddad confessed to the deception in two Medium blog posts and apologized for “every ounce of heartache and betrayal” caused by the false claims.

The graduate student left a teaching assistant position at the university as well as the role of co-chair of the Association of Teaching Assistants.

We apologize, but this video failed to load.

“Trying to sort out parts of who I am I took some really bad turns. I never really recognized them when they became apparent, nor recognized the trail of damage behind me, ”Vitolo-Haddad wrote.

The graduate student said other people had speculated about ancestry and had not been corrected.

“I let guesses about my ancestry become answers I wanted but couldn’t prove. I let people make assumptions when I should have corrected them, ”Vitolo-Haddad wrote.

The revelation comes weeks after white George Washington University associate professor Jessica Krug was publicly ashamed after admitting she claimed to be black her entire career.
