White House tells federal agencies to cancel ‘divisive’ racial sensitivity training: report

The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) reportedly ordered federal agencies to cancel employee training on racial sensitivity that could be “divisive” and “anti-American,” according to several reports .

“The President has ordered me to ensure that federal agencies stop and refrain from using taxpayer dollars to fund these divisive, non-American propaganda training sessions,” the note read. .

The Post reports that it is unclear which training programs the memo refers to, but notes that Fox News recently shared a critical report on the diversity and inclusion efforts of the Obama era.The memo insists that “the president and his administration are fully committed to the fair and equal treatment of all individuals in the United States. ”

The Hill has contacted the White House for comment.

The report comes as racial tensions and demands for an end to systemic racism and police brutality have plagued the country for months.

The issue garnered renewed attention after the death of George Floyd, a black man who died in custody in Minneapolis. The subsequent high-profile deaths of black Americans while in custody or without committing a crime also fueled the flames of problems.
