“We are going to refuel for Peter”: Bora-Hansgrohe prepares the final assault on the green jersey of the Tour de France

Bora-Hansgrohe won’t give up Peter Sagan’s reign in the green jersey without a fight, as they prepare for another day of trying to tear Sam Bennett’s legs off on stage 19 of the Tour de France.

“Tomorrow, we will fill up with petrol for Peter, we still want to win a stage with him and we have two chances left, tomorrow and in Paris,” said Lennard Kämna after the 18th stage.

Worryingly, Bora-Hansgrohe recovered on the last day of mountain climbing in the Alps, failing to take a break, instead deciding to save his legs for tomorrow.

Bennett extended his lead in the green jersey by a few points during the 18th stage, the intermediate sprint preceding all the difficult climbs on the road to La-Roche-sur-Foron.
