Watch a police caravan driver outside the presidential debate finger the Cleveland Black Lives Matter protesters


CLEVELAND, Ohio – The driver of a police trailer run by vehicles marked as belonging to the city of Shaker Heights gave the middle finger to protesters lining the street at University Circle ahead of the presidential debate.

The incident took place as a trailer of vehicles carrying armed officers turned from East Boulevard onto Hazel Drive, not far from a location where a non-violent social justice protest including Black Lives Matter Cleveland took place .

According to early crowd estimates, at least 500 people attended the event.

“Why are you in riot gear?” I don’t see a riot here, ”the demonstrators can be heard singing as vehicles pass.

The one-finger salute can clearly be seen with an outstretched arm through the window of the third officers vehicle.

The BLM march revolved around cordoned off areas near the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion on the Health Education Campus. Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University host the debate.

Many protesters called it a night as the sun set shortly before 8 p.m. as the march returned to Wade Oval, near the Cleveland Museum of Art. The 90-minute debate between President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
