VMware and Nvidia Partner to Make AI Chips Easier to Use in Business

on Tuesday announced a partnership to make VMware data center management software more fluid with artificial intelligence chips from Nvidia. The companies said they would give some customers early access to the technology, but did not say when it would go on sale. For years, much of VMware’s work has focused on improving how software works with Intel Corp. processors. INTC,

which held a dominant data center market share. In addition, VMware announced its intention to acquire SaltStack Inc., which designs intelligent and event-driven automation software. The conditions were not disclosed.
