Chloe, 37, fell out with Pete eight months ago, having previously been close friends. She told him at the time that she didn’t want him in her life anymore.
The 31-year-old appears to see it differently from Chloe, fearing their friendship will be lost forever unless circumstances change quickly.
In Sunday’s episode, Chloe is seen having a socially distant conversation with Olivia Attwood, James ‘Diags’ Bennewith, and Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell, in which she opened up about what happened with Pete.
Addressing the effects of the lockdown, Chloe said, “It’s a terrible thing for a lot of people, but there have been some positives.
“It brought families together and it actually showed me who is important in my life. ‘Best friends’ who haven’t really given up as ***.
“Pete and I stopped talking. We have been arguing since the end of January.
“It wasn’t mean, it was pretty quiet but I didn’t want to have people around me who aren’t 100 percent. I just said, ‘I can’t have you in my life anymore.’ “
Chloe did not reveal details of what caused their fallout or what they were arguing about at the time.
Olivia said: “I’m surprised he didn’t contact you during the lockdown. It checked in normally, especially for you, but voila. ”
Chloe replied, “He made me wonder if I even knew him at all. ”
Olivia later had the opportunity to speak to Pete and found out her thoughts on why he was no longer in Chloe’s world.
Speaking about the fateful moment, Pete said, “We had a barney and the last thing she told me was we didn’t need to talk, too bad.
“We’ve been close for so many years and that was the first time we had to disagree and I was like, ‘You know what she doesn’t want from me in her life.’
“It’s the longest we’ve ever been without speaking. ”
Pete now fears their friendship will never be mended, with each day seemingly putting more distance between them.
He continued, “What worries me, if I contact her and she says f *** off, it will hurt me.
“Do I want to save the friendship? Yes of course. Do I think she can be saved? No. ”
