Tour de France: Egan Bernal launches unexpected late attack in Lyon

Egan Bernal may have taken a heavy blow in his hopes of defending his Tour de France title at the Puy Mary on Saturday, but he looked to get back straight to the front foot with an attack on the hard-hitting final climb in Lyon during the 14th stage.Bernal had dragged himself to the top of Puy Mary 38 seconds behind race leader Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) and Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates), who pushed him back from second place and took him away the white jersey as the best young rider.
