Crews and Tangos, a popular drag bar in the Church and Wellesely area, posted a statement on Instagram last night that a customer and artist tested positive for COVID-19.
The bar was informed by email on September 23 of a customer who tested positive for the virus. On Friday, September 25, the scholar of their own interpreters had also tested positive.
The two people were at the bar on Friday September 18th. The customer was present from 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
In the post, the bar urges patrons who were at the bar between September 18 and 20 to get tested for COVID-19 to prevent the spread of the virus.
“We take these matters seriously and will have to close our doors for 4 to 5 days to do the things necessary to ensure the safety of our staff, our customers and all who come through the doors,” the statement said.
The bar said customers who booked for this upcoming weekend will be refunded.
Bar staff should get tested for the virus before returning to work.
