The group perform high on a rooftop during the commercial, which aired during the Raiders’ game against the New Orleans Saints – their first home game of the season, showing off the team’s new Allegiant Stadium.
The live appearance comes a month after the release of Implode the Mirage, the group’s sixth LP. In a recent NME Interview, Flowers – who recently took part in a livestream with New Order’s Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris focused on Ian Curtis – noted that the Killers have already started work on a follow-up recording, tentatively expected in spring 2021.
“Every time someone makes a record, they say they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record,” he says. “We really are. We will be releasing another one in about 10 months. We have already returned to the studio with [producer Jonathon Rado] and [producer Shawn Everett]. We did a week in Northern California. I had a lot of free time. I used to normally prepare for a tour, all that time was spent writing more songs. It has been quite successful.
